This year I embarked on some new journeys. I am a singer song writer so I did embrace America's Got Talent.
If you have a dream and believe in in, chase it! Who should ever tell you no? I am also for my 8th try competing for Mrs. International. These are some of my amazing new Clay Spann photos.

Even "If" you don't win the first chase, never give up on the run.

Thank you Clay Spann for all my AMAZING photos and for the dreams I may catch! Searching for my owl~

You're the Cure on the Hill!

As we speak, hundreds of You’re the Cure volunteer advocates from across the country are flooding Capitol Hill and urging their lawmakers to step up for heart health. They’re explaining why nutritious school meals are key to reducing childhood obesity and giving our kids the healthy futures they deserve. They’re pointing out that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) desperately needs more funding to study heart disease and stroke, so we can better prevent and someday cure them. But we need to show that they’re not alone. We need you to step up and take action right now.

In less than 60 seconds, you can help us deliver a strong message to your representatives and support our advocates in Washington. School nutrition and NIH funding are two of the most critical issues as we work to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Please help us deliver this message to your lawmakers now.

May is Stroke Month

I new I had cardiovascular disease. This became my reality in 2010 after I suffered a heart attack. It literally came from left field. After the surgery, my husband asked me if I was "fixed"? Heck, I didn't know. I was far younger than my parents were when they passed so I just didn't know and there is not a doctor that should tell you you are. No one could figure out why I had the blockage or why at my age I had an MI. Stress probably and still does factor but there really isn't a legal pill for that!

In 2011, I had a two TIA's. Small strokes. I also had a DVT so my blood just likes to clot. In 2012 when Andy was serving in Afghanistan, I was on the phone with a friend. I hate January's! I ignored the warning signs because life just did not care. We have to get things done.

I don't remember much at all but a friend called and had the MCFD take down my door, I had a stroke. After a week in the ICU, TPA and therapy I can talk and walk about it.

I have to reflect on why? I am not a victim.

Reflection was such a part of recovery.  What do you want to do? Who are you? Who do you want to be? What do you want your children to remember?

My walk STILL stinks and I am not great in memory and yes I shake sometimes.

Educate yourself on the warning signs and be proactive and I will forever be thankful for great friends. I'll send you the bill on the door. LOL

Listen to your heart and head~D
