Goodmorning-

I was sad to wake up and find out that Yolanda Rodriquez may be stepping down as Mrs Delaware United States 2007. I ask that before anyone makes any assumptions that they wait until Moore Pageant Productions makes an official statement. I had the pleasure of emceeing this event and also participating in Maryland. I can tell you that no wrong doing was done on the part of Moore Pageant Productions, the judges or auditor. Quite simply, the wrong name was written down on my sheet which happens. Regardless, the scores (which I have not seen) reflected the winner, which was Yolanda.

I know it is easy to make assumptions about people or situations but Yolanda is a wonderful lady as is Laura Price and ALL of the ladies who competed. Pageantry is much like family and we all at times are sensitive to certain situations. It is best to let this one be sorted out by THOSE WHO ARE INVOLVED and not go down the road of such negativity.

The United States pageant is VERY lucky to have a Director like Siouxzann and also queens like Yolanda. None of us are walking in her shoes or Laura's so this is where compassion should come to the forfront and we should support all of our sisters in pageantry.

Good luck to Yolanda (you are a Queen!!!!!) and whomever may or MAY NOT assume the title if Moore Pageant Productions so chooses.

I had the pleasure this weekend of attending the Coca Cola 600 at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC. Thank you Kris, Val and the Perry family for being such gracious host and making my first Nascar experience a great one! Andy, Halo & I had a wonderful weekend. While I was there, I met Mrs Lexington Kentucky America 2007! What a great lady. Good luck to Jennifer Thronsbury & Tammy Halvorson (Mrs Kentucky International 2006) as they compete for the title this summer!I competed with Tammy last year and she too is a great lady and very dedicated to her platform.

Hello-

In answer to the questions I have been receiving, yes Andy's old Brigade, 2nd Brigade, 1st Armored Division out of Baumholder, Germany is redeploying this year. It is hard to believe because they just arrived home last November. This tour is scheduled for 15 months of deployment.I cannot help but be saddened for the soldiers and their families. At this point Andy will not be deploying but we really will not know until June. The waiting is the hardest part. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Baumholder community, WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!

Congrats also to Amy Kirk!!!!! Baumholder Volunteer of the YEAR!!!!! VERY MUCH DESERVED!!!!!

On May 11th at 6:30 pm at the Paramus Elks Club, Operation Goody Bag will be hosting a Beefsteak Dinner to raise funds for the Paramus Freedom Walk 2007.
