Music is such a big part of me. Even in my darkest hours or brightest light of the day, it's music that gets me through. It's a language that is universal. When I was a little girl, I was a skater. My family did not have resources for lessons but I skated everyday for 6-8 hours a day. I taught myself how to do a double axle and had Olympic dreams. Keep in mind I also was in a neighborhood pageant and was crowned with a Burger King crown so I have always been a bit far reaching in my dreams.
My skating was more about the music. It was my escape. When the weather was really bad and I could not go outside, I could still hear the music as I looked outside.
Think about lyrics. Aren't there some that you would really love to say to someone but don't have the nerve. Music is the excuse and a blessing. Always listen to the lyrics and hear the melody. So many stories, so much truth.
