It was about a year ago that I lobbied on the hill with You're the Cure. One of our goals was for NIH funding. Medicine is a collaboration and something that effects all of us. It may be a family member, a friend or a stranger but having the dollars for research is so important. Think how far we have come.

It was just a few weeks ago when a doctor said to me, if I were you or you or you were my wife, I would send you to NIH. We do have some genetic issues and frankly a lot that do not make sense. Its like a puzzle with a few missing pieces. You are diagnosed with XYZ yet there are zzz's that don't fit into a text book.

I get so frustrated in speaking with doctors. It is just so black and white for many of them and like they don't care. I worry about Bella, Carter, Holston and just future generations. This is why advocacies are so important. You can save lives with a click of a mouse. You can advocate for issues that matter. You matter. I cannot hope and pray and encourage more.
