The Orioles announced an exciting partnership with the American Heart Association (AHA) that features the club serving as event chair for the 30th Annual Baltimore Heart Ball, scheduled for February 1, 2014. The team donated $75,000 which will go in part toward Recess, a Heart Ball program educating Baltimore City children on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. The Orioles are the first professional sports team to lead such an effort since the AHA’s founding in 1929. To learn more go to: www.orioles.com/AHA.
Last year, the Baltimore Heart Ball campaign raised just over $51 million nation-wide allowing us to fund over $123 million of research and programs across the country and in your community.
