There is nothing that puts things in perspective like the loss of a loved one. Andy & I visited Arlington Cemetery and the changing of the guards ceremony. As I was reading many of the tomb stones,it reminded me of how young so many of the soldiers, sailor's, air force and marines that we are losing daily are. History itself reflects that one day this war will end. That day is in question but hopefully not to far off in the horizon. I received many phone calls last year when Andy was deployed and my heart sank every time the phone range. We were blessed in two tours of Iraq that Andy made it home. Many did not. I have said this often but I am so proud to be a part of the military community and of our soldiers and family members. Please log onto www.americasupportsyou.mil and find out how you can help. It is the little thing that matters most.

Today we are going to the retirement ceremony in DC of one of Andy's former Battalion Commanders. LTC Mark Coats. Congrats to Mark & Jenn! We are excited for your upcoming journey. You both have been GREAT mentors to us all! God bless....
