International Pageants Interview and Gala Day!

Interview Day and so much more!

I cannot explain what an incredible day yesterday was! I am forever blessed to be here and just so excited everyday I wake up. I must start by saying the hero of my day was my son as he captured the hearts and hugs of so many at the gala last night. He loves him a pretty lady! Mommy is in trouble. I can always tell the heart of someone by the way Carter hugs thems.  There was someone  that he hugged, a gentleman, whom is incredibly kind, and I thought he might hug his neck off.  It was incredibly sweet. Mommy' heart just melted......

With the AMAZING Clay Spann
Joey from the Competitive Image! I love my Interview suit!
My day started off with a workout (heart healthy:)) with my wonderful friend Deborah Vails whom came in from SC to support me. She is amazing. She is a former Mrs Alabama International  (as am I 😍) so once an International sister, always an International sister.  She also use to work for Joey and Clay from the Competitive Image and Clay Spann Photography so she joined me in hair and makeup.

My interview was at 11:30am and this group of judges was kind, impressive, prepared and welcoming. I left feeling great but it's in Gods hands and I know what is meant to be has already been determined by the man upstairs.  Hey, this is not my first rodeo! Lol.

I have loved all loved all the ladies I have met over the years but I have to say this class as a whole has reminded me a great deal of the class of 2006. I have never felt a more unified, beautiful and humble group of ladies with such open arms and full of love.

We had a short rehearsal then last night was the gala. As everyone knows the American Heart Association is my heart as a survivor and advocate/ambassador so I was so excited to see all the bids on the silent auction items. The money raised goes to the First Coast Go Red for Women office! The American Heart Association depends on its volunteers and the fundraising efforts to help save lives.  There was certainly a lot of heart in the house!

The night concluded with a very moving and inspirational speech by the amazing Eddie Peterson. "You Don't Know My Life"! I encourage you to buy his book.  I have listened to him speak and have know Eddie personally for years and there is not a kinder man in the world who could inspire you more.

Today is a day full of rehearsals and tonight is prelims! Wish me luck and as my beautiful son always says as Mommy leaves the room, " Have the nicest Day! I'll see you in a lil bit" 😍❤️

With all my heart
