THE JUDGES
Lindsay Clubine
Growing up on a farm in Camden, Missouri, Lindsay Clubine spent most of her time playing sports, riding horses, and enjoying the small town life.
Lindsay started modeling locally in Kansas City doing fashion shows, TV commercials, and print work. Destined for bigger things, her modeling career eventually drove her to Chicago, Miami, and then New York before finally guiding this budding star to LA. Currently, Lindsay is #26 on NBC’s hit Deal Or No Deal.” She also hosts the travel series Get Out on HDTV in her 3rd season. Lindsay has been on the cover of Woman’s World and has been featured in L.A. Sports & Fitness magazine.
Lydia Cornell
Granddaughter of Henry Ward Beecher Stowe (great-grandson of Harriet), Lydia is an actress, writer, comedienne, blogger and talk-radio host. Winner of the People’s Choice Award for her role in Too Close for Comfort, and “Best Actress nominee at the Method Fest,” she has appeared in numerous stage, television shows and films. Lydia is a stand-up comedienne known as a “spiritual therapy comedienne.” Her blog Lydia Cornell was nominated for the Koufax Award for best writing. Lydia went to Beirut, Lebanon, during the war and her Beirut Diary was published by US Magazine. She has written many books and articles for which she receives mainly “love” letters in support of her statements and the occasional “hate mail.” Her novel, The Sylvia Plan, is an international thriller based on the true story of one of Stalin’s most complex assassins. In February 2007 Basham Radio introduced Cornell as its new co-host, with many prominent political guests.
Lauren Holly
With both parents professors at esteemed Northeastern colleges, and her own degree in English Lit from Sarah Lawrence College, it seemed inevitable that Lauren would be a college professor. However, she took the risk to pursue her dream of being an actress. Within a year, she landed a role on All My Children, which led to a starring role in the TV movie Archie: To Riverdale and Back Again. Her small-screen roles led to the big screen, and Lauren has been successful in both. She has appeared in Picket Fences and Chicago Hope on TV and movies such as Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, Dumb and Dumber, and Sabrina.
Howard Jochsberger
Howard has been with Boyd Gaming Corporation since 1979. Currently, he is
Director of Player Development for the company’s Suncoast Hotel & Casino. He
is the former Vice President of Marketing for the Fremont Hotel & Casino. The
producer of numerous theatrical productions, Jochsberger’s most recent “Hello
Dere,” starring legendary comedian Marty Allen and singing star Karon Kate, just completed a very successful run in Las Vegas. Howard has extensive experience as a judge in many Miss and Miss Teen Pageants. He has served as Chairman of the Judges for the Mrs. United States Pageant, Miss USA Pageant and the Miss Clark County Pageant.
Benson Lee, ESQ.
Benson Lee is known for his lifelong interest in pageantry and has been with the Mrs. United States Pageant since 1995, among others. Of all the pageants, this is the most exciting, because each contestant is unique, sharing with us her visions, achievements and hopes. As a litigation attorney, he is no stranger to judging. Benson was a former vice president of a regional insurance company, regional sales manager of a national insurance company, former Nevada Equal Rights Commissioner and Chairman of the Asian American Commission in Clark County. He complete his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. He was an Army radio announcer while serving with a Psychological Warfare Battalion and is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute. His son, Michael, is also an attorney and his daughter, Liane, is a governmental affairs officer with the City of Las Vegas. He welcomes all the contestants, their families and sponsors to this wonderful event.
Andrea Preuss
Andrea views her life as a trilogy of marriage, family, and community service. She is creative, with over 15 years of classical ballet training. One of her most exciting experiences was traveling to over 50 countries as a professional entertainer on the World Cruise aboard the QE-2. Andrea is no stranger to pageantry, having been a top 10 finalist in two “Miss” pageants and crowned Mrs. United States 2003. She also traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia, where she placed in the top 10 in international competition. After losing her mother-in-law to cancer, she and her daughter helped to raise millions of dollars for cancer. Andrea was a national spokesperson for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, an advocate for children with cancer, serves on the Board of Directors for the Foundation House and co-hosts a weekly radio show entitled An Afternoon of Giving that educates others on how they can make a difference through volunteering. She has her MBA from Pepperdine University and is a Manager for a specialty pharmaceutical company. She and her husband Bill have been married for 10 years and reside in Huntington Beach, CA, with their 2 children.
Ben Vereen
Ben Vereen shot to Broadway stardom when he won the 1972 Tony Award for his starring role in Bob Fosse’s Pippin. Vereen became a famously versatile song-and dance man, a stage star who appeared occasionally in feature films and television. His most famous roles on TV include African slave Chicken George in the miniseries Roots, Jeff Goldblum’s partner in the 1980 cop show Tenspeed (Vereen) and Brownshoe, and the grumpy police captain in Silk Stalkings. His feature films have included Funny Lady, All That Jazz, and Idlewild. In 1992 Vereen was accidentally hit by a car. The injuries seemed career-threatening, but the next year Vereen made a triumphal Broadway return in Jelly’s Last Jam. In the 1990s he guest-starred on Star Trek: The Next Generation as the father of engineer Geordi LaForge. Vereen has received both the American Guild of Variety Artists’ George M. Cohen Award and the NAACP’s Image Award.
MASTER OF CEREMONIES
Todd Newton
Best known for his work on E! Entertainment Television, Todd hosted Coming Attractions, Talk Soup, E! News Live and many live events, such as red carpet arrivals at the Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards and movie premieres. The veteran television personality has also hosted VH1’s In Search of the Partridge Family, USA’s Made In The USA, and the movie review show Hot Ticket. Game show fans know Todd as the host of shows including Whammy, Hollywood Showdown, Instant Millionaire and The Price Is Right Live. In addition to being in front of the camera, Newton is a radio veteran who has spent time behind microphones of WNEW (New York), KBIG and KIIS (Los Angeles) and WKBQ (St. Louis). He is also popular on the public speaking circuit. His energy and powerful stage presence make him a memorable addition to more than 50 corporate and charity events each year. Personally, Newton works to promote the awareness and prevention of global warming. A St. Louis native, Newton now lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their children.
