Hello~

It has been an overwhelming few weeks. I am anxiously awaiting to find out when my husband will be able to join me. I will find out 24 hours before he arrives!

I flew to Toronto for some last minute tweaks to my wardrobe. Marion and Elizabeth Grant made some final suggestions and added a few beautiful pieces. I worked with an amazing stylist named Melissa. If you ever need a stylist, I highly recommend her! I truly feel like a queen and I am beyond blessed for all the support and encouragement I have received.

I have been continuing my efforts with America Supports You. We had three more soldiers injured in IED attacks. PFC Ryan Clark passed away from his injuries a few weeks ago. My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to all of the families. Please conyinue to keep our military soldiers and their families in your prayers. A memorial service was held in Germany last week.

The sacrifices that are made on behalf of our military community are tremendous. I encourage you to log on to AmericaSupportsYou.mil and show your support. There are many ways to become involved. You can even send an email to the troops thanking them for their sacrifices. It does make a difference and it is a simple gesture. Care packages & phone cards are always welcome and very much needed. The soldiers have to pay for their calls home and it does get very expensive. Many soldiers are young with young families. Sometimes just hearing the voice of someone you love can make all the difference in the world.

I hope to have updates this weekend as I leave on Saturday for Chicago. I will post as many pictures as I can also. I am very excited to meet all the beautiful ladies and hopefully bring more awareness to ASY and LPE by being honored with the title of Mrs. International 2006!!!!

Wish me luck and God bless~

Deanna
